Marokko ist in jeder Hinsicht eine Reise wert – nicht nur des Surfens wegen! Grandiose Landschaften im Hinterland der Küstengebiete und die faszinierenden Königsstädte – bei genügend Reisezeit – beliebte Ausflugsziele.

In der nahen Umgebung von Taghazout bietet sich – sofern die Wellen mal gar nicht mitspielen wollen – ein Ausflug ins „Paradise Valley“ an. Entlang eines grün schimmernden Flusses geht es in das Tal der 1000 Palmen. Am Ende können besonders Mutige einen Sprung in das Naturstaubecken einer Quelle wagen. Vorsicht – das Wasser erwischt nie einen Sonnenstrahl und dementsprechend erfrischend ist dieses Bad.
Sehr leicht mit den öffentlichen Bussen lässt sich das nahe gelegene Agadir erreichen. Moderne Bars, Banken und große Supermärkte sind nicht wirklich Attraktionen – bis auf die großen Soukh’s! Hier lebt der Orient in all seinen Farben und Gerüchen. In schillernden Facetten türmen sich die Berge bunter Teppiche und duftender arabischer Gewürze, leuchten die frisch gepflückten Orangen und Mandarinen. Es wird lautstark angeboten und gefeilscht und es gibt nichts, was es in einem echten marokkanischen Soukh nicht gibt!

Natürlich gehört der Besuch eines traditionellen Hammam fast zum Standardprogramm. Gründlich geschrubbt, massiert, geölt und frisch parfümiert fühlt man sich anschließend wie neugeboren. Natürlich streng nach Geschlechtern getrennt! Alle Vorschläge sind als Tipps für dich zu verstehen. Selbstverständlich können wir – wenn sich einige zusammentun – gegen ein kleines Entgelt gemeinsame Fahrten oder Ausflüge organisieren.

Morrocco – not only because of the good surf! Terrific landscapes in the coastal area and the fascinating royal cities are popular places of excursions. If the waves are not perfect at one day we would recommend a trip to the “Paradise Valley” in the surrounding area of Taghazout. Along a beautiful green shimmering river you come to the valley of the 1000 palm trees. In the end one can try a jump in the natural reservoir of the spring, but be aware that this water never gets any sunlight and is pretty chilly.
Pretty easy with the local busses one can reach Agadir. Modern bars, banks and big supermarkets are almost the only attraction, if there were not the Soukh`s. At this colourful market with oriental spirit one can find beautiful carpets, arabian spices or fresh fruits or vegetables. There is almost nothing one cannot find at a moroccan Soukh! Here you can experience the different way of selling, loudly annoucing their offers and you can improve your bargain-skills. Of course a visit of a traditional hammam needs to be on your list for activities in Morocco. Cleaned, massaged, oily and parfumed – afterwards one feels like the king of Taghazout… Certainly strictly seperated by genders!
